My List of Gratitudes

I have many gratitudes today. I sit here and look at my house and listen to the peacefullness of the quiet house. Just got the kiddos tucked in and watched them for a few minutes. I love watching babies (and older ones as well) sleep peacefully in their beds. Here is my list of gratitudes:

Being alive
Being one of God's children
Being a Christian Wife
Being able to overcome my weaknesses (working on this one)
My wonderful, caring, charming, strong, handsome husband
My children
My home
My mom for giving me this home and allowing me to stay home to take care of it, her and my family
My mother in law

I need will power

I quit smoking 8 years ago August 24 (my birthday). Since then my grandparents and dad have passed away. I have been taking care of my mom and so on....I have put on 40 pounds. I have no will power to quit the soda and carbs.

I want to also follow Titus II and be a good christian homemaker. But my mom never was. I don't have anyone to look up to. My mom was always one with a loud voice. Never one to follow :( My dad was who I looked up to. I learned a lot from him. I miss him so much.

I want to change my ways. I want to bring up my children differently than my mom. I want to talk nice to my family. I want to eat better. I want my children to learn like my dad taught me. So I am going to blog here my steps to bettering myself.

Any help?

I am always and forever scanning the thrift stores for awesome vintage aprons. I inherited my grandmothers (but they are in storage really need to get them out) aprons and my 7yo daughter loves her aprons. I would take pictures but my oldest daughter has the camera with her on a trip. I would love to win The Apron Book. :)
