Look What Hubby Made Me!

My wonderful hubby made me this spinning wheel from pvc pipe and a recycled bike rim. I love him. Everytime we go to the antique stores the wheels there are way out of our budget. So he made me one in our budget.

I would love to make these and sell them at the farmer's market. Maybe even try my hand at selling a couple on ebay. What does everyone think? I love my hubby :)

Today is the big day! It's been so long since we've ran any sale of any kind around here so we just decided to do a crazily huge Summer Blowout Sale.

Count Your Blessings Monday

After this weekend I am very blessed to be married to such a wonderful man. He will do just about anything I ask. Tells me to stay home take care of the kids, my mom and the house. I am trying my best to do it all.

I am greatful for the wonderful home we live in. We have cut our debt in half by selling the other house. And now no car payments, rent or mortgage. Just utilities and taxes.

I am greatful for my oldest daughter and having enough maturity to move out on her own. I will miss her so much but know that is what happens when they grow old enough to fly.

And most of all being alive and having these wonderful children. I wouldn't give any of it up for the world.

Our Weekend and My hubby believing

Friday was dh's birthday (42nd) and the 20th was our 11 anniversary (been together since 6/26/90). We went camping without the kids. :) What a wonderful weekend. Spent alot time talking and catching up without interruption. I miss that. With the kids always wanting/needing something time for "us" is very limited. I love my kiddos more than life but they will grow and move out and if we don't keep connected now there won't be an us then.

We sat by the river for hours just talking. Trying so hard to not talk about stressful situations. That was hard. Had a phone call that made for a stressful time. Not her fault just the whole car thing is bad. But we had a wonderful conversation.

We went to an Roller Mill's. It's an antique store made of 400 vendors. I love going to them. Hubby wanted to go to Halfway Dam to just sit and swing. That was his big thing this weekend. And we did a lot of that. Then went to have supper and a few drinks.

I so wanted him to watch The Secret movie. He was so against that whole thing. (this part is unbelievable) so much negative from him. So we watched it. Of course he fell asleep. Well he woke up at the end complaining about it. I don't believe it blah, blah blah, bunch of hockus pockus blah, blah, blah. So we went to bed. Started to lightning and thunder. So we got up to put the awning down for the wind and rain. I tell him do you remember last year when you went looking for a pool table with Roger. Went to 3 different stores looking at them. Then coming home and visioning the pool table with friends over and all. Month later we got one from Freecycle. He now understands. So he says well I guess if I want nice things I will ask for more money. Today after we had lunch and got everything packed up we went back to the river to sit for one last swing :) A guy was there fishing with his boxer (looks just like our Zoe) We got talking to him about his dog and his motorcycle and where he works so hubby says what do you do? He says I work for Labor Union such and such in Williamsport. And he proceeds to tell hubby how much he makes and different positions make. Between $18 and $30 an hour. And how some times they work 21 days straight at 12 hour days. He made $40,000 in a month. Wow! He tells hubby call and they will more than likely have laborer openings because of all the new contracts they have. Benefits and all! Wow I just cannot believe that happened. He is calling tomorrow.

He is now a firm believer in The Secret: Law of Attraction.

What a wonderful weekend!

It's Been 2 Years Since My Grammy has gone to heaven

I've been in a fog all day. I cannot believe I have lost so many loved ones in the past 10 years. I miss so many of them. Would give anything to have a reunion with them for an hour.

My grammy has been gone for 2 years. It seems like only yesterday. It still makes me so mad that she got MRSA from Geisinger Medical Center (Danville, PA) and they would not even talk to me about it. Ahhhhh, the medical profession is so disgusting.

The Law of Attraction

Thanks to Patty Lockwood of Morning Ramble Blog

for reminding me to get back into thinking positive and focusing on the good things in life. I bought The Secret dvd on Ebay last week and now really understand the whole concept.

I have my vision board made for right now. I will be redoing it in about a week. I have quite a few things from my vision board already. So exciting. Theres a few I really want and waiting to see how the universe will bring me them.

Anyone else use the law of attraction? I will be using it faithfully for life now

The wonderful women I have chatted with over the years from HomeSteadHeaven :)

The rain we have received in the past week

This past week I have spent with the 4 most wonderful families. We camped all week in a hunting cabin with my family and 4 other families. It was a blast. I can't wait to get together with them again very soon!

Saturday afternoon I attended a birthday party for my mother in law. She turned 90 July 9. I couldn't wish for a better mother in law. In the picture above with her opening the card, the card contained a gift card for $25, her comment was boy I could buy a lot of vinegar with that. She is a vinegar nut. She swears by vinegar for everything. Cuts, sunburns, weightloss, bee stings, everything :) She said she couldn't believe she made it till 90 :)

A Bit About my Camping Trip

Our 7 day camping trip was a blast. There were 5 families at a hunting cabin. Smores, swimming, fishing, and the women did their crafts.
We were knitting, sewing, crocheting, cross stitching, and spinning wool. What a fun trip. I will post some of the highlights in a bit but here is a picture from our spinning sessions. What a blast was had by all!
